The castle houses a permanent exhibition presenting an overview of Slovenian history through the lens of the Auersperg family. The exhibition narrative begins with the arrival of the first Auerspergs in Lower Carniola during the High Middle Ages and follows events chronologically until the family’s departure amid the turmoil of war in 1943. The exhibition is intended for the general public while also serving an educational role, as it is suitable for guided tours of primary and secondary school groups.
The exhibition is free of charge and can be viewed at your own pace during the castle’s opening hours.
