Guided Tours of Grad Turjak
Starting Saturday, October 10, 2026, free guided tours will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
*Tour times may be adjusted based on demand.
The tour includes a visit to selected castle rooms and the castle exterior, as well as an introduction to the permanent exhibition “Turjak Through Time,” which visitors then explore on their own.
Tours take place with a minimum of 3 people registered, and the maximum group size is 30 people. Advance reservation is required.

Permanent Exhibition at Grad Turjak
A permanent exhibition is set up in the castle, presenting an overview of Slovenian history through the prism of the Auersperg family. The exhibition’s narrative begins with the arrival of the first Turjačan family members in Dolenjska during the High Middle Ages and chronologically follows events until the family’s departure amidst the turmoil of war in 1943. The exhibition is intended for the general public and also has an educational role, making it suitable for guided tours for primary and secondary school groups.
