Ivan Esenko is a natural sciences expert, ornithologist and nature conservationist with many years of experience in fieldwork, birdwatching and biodiversity research.
The Brdo Estate near Kranj is a historical and natural oasis that offers an idyllic setting for observing nature in every season. The nature programme “Seasons with Ivan Esenko” lets you discover birds, amphibians, dragonflies and forest ecosystems in the wild, and is tailored to both children and adults.
Two workshops are held on each scheduled date. The first time slot is dedicated to Green Hours for children, and the second to Green Hours for adults. The aim of the workshops is to develop attention and empathy for living beings, and to understand natural cycles and biodiversity. The programme is intended for children and adults who want to experience nature actively, learn through in-depth observation, and spend quality time outdoors.

13:30–17:30 – adults’ session- Discovering forest and aquatic communities, migratory birds, trees, leaves and animal tracks, and understanding how nature prepares for winter and the annual cycle of natural processes.
