HONORING THE CULTURAL AND HISTORIC MONUMENT
Traces of the 18th century baroque style layout are still visible in Brdo Park, as well as the design of the oldest botanical garden in Slovenia.
The estate assumed its present-day appearance through landscaping of the park’s woods and ponds in the 20th century.
As part of the Brdo pri Kranju Estate, Brdo Park is recognised as a cultural monument of national importance, which limits public access to the extent that any harm to the monument and its significance is prevented.
HONORING THE CULTURAL AND HISTORIC MONUMENT
We kindly ask all visitors of Brdo Park to conduct themselves in a way that contributes to preserving the park. We ask that you:
→ do not pick plants and that you avoid doing anything that could potentially harm groves and trees,
→ do not walk or sit on lawns,
→ do not use motorbikes, bicycles, roller skates, scooters, and other vehicles (push bikes and mini 3-wheel scooters are allowed),
→ do not enter with pets, so that you do not disturb the animals on the estate,
→ do not feed the animals on the estate,
→ do not enter with sports equipment (balls, rackets etc.),
→ do not smoke or start any kind of fire,
→ do not sunbathe in inappropriate clothing,
→ put trash in the designated bins,
→ do not enter with food or drinks.
The incredible complexity of Brdo Park places it at the very top of historical progress in Slovenia. Let’s help preserve it as it is now.
